About us

Instituto San Fernando is a private academic institution that since 1996 has been exclusively dedicated to the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language.

We are a dynamic group that offers professionalism, experience, service, and personal attention.

Our objective is that students learn and be able to use their Spanish in a wide variety of situations and environments, and that they learn more about Spanish culture in general.  As such, we strive to teach Spanish in its proper cultural context.  Our students learn a new language, while at the same time come into continual contact with the most outstanding aspects of Spanish culture and society.

We are located in five different and beautiful cities in Spain: Barcelona, Toledo, Seville, Cadiz, and Valencia where we organize custom-designed linguistic programs for government entities, universities/colleges, and high schools. Our programs consist of:

We look, from the first day, to the putting into practice of what has been learned in the classroom in real-life situations.  Our method is modern, creative, friendly and effective; above all, it is practical, active, and highly communicative.  The student is the lead character, he/she studies and lives in the country where the language is spoken, practices the language in the home, in the classroom or workplace, in the street, experiences new ways of living and ways of thinking, and above all has continual contact with the environment and thus is learning all in its appropriate context.

The Spanish language and its culture, both in the classroom and outside in real life are an experience we believe to be rewarding and where the student’s rapid progress will be easily seen.
